The assault caused the temporary closure of the CTA tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park.

An additional two individuals are now in custody in connection with a robbery at London's Heathrow Airport where over twenty individuals were injured by what is thought to be an irritant spray, according to police.

A 24-year-old man, was taken into custody in the Lambeth area for suspected theft and assault and a 23-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of conspiring to commit a robbery. Both individuals are still being held, authorities confirmed.

The arrests follow a probe into an attack at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Before the attack, two women were robbed of their luggage upon exiting a car park lift.

A toddler aged three was among the those hurt during the incident. Five people were taken to the hospital for medical care and were later released.

Officers detained a man in his thirties on suspicion of robbery and assault near the scene. He has since been released pending further inquiries as the investigation proceeds.

Police were alerted at about 8:10 in the morning GMT following reports of a number of individuals injured by a noxious substance thought to be pepper spray.

The assault - which authorities stated was a standalone incident and not considered an act of terror - resulted in train delays and the partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park for a short time.
